I'm Farrah, an Ottawa wedding photographer who specializes in capturing natural, beautiful unscripted moments for you and your loved ones. I have a fondness for the color black, an eye for intricate details, and I adore anything moody. For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with art in all of its forms – from visual concepts to the art of storytelling through photography. I have a passion for capturing all the little moments that you will relive forever through your photos.

What sets my work apart from other photographers in Ottawa is my unique editing style—a vibrant, colorful aesthetic that brings out the emotions of the moment. Each photo tells a story, radiating warmth and authenticity. But for me, it's not just about the photos. I'm all about providing my clients with an exceptional experience, building genuine connections, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable process from start to finish. Developing relationships with my clients is incredibly rewarding—it's one of the best parts of what I do.

  • I'm energetic and passionate about my work. I strive to photograph the things that are important to you. I'm guilty of getting emotionally invested in my clients; that's just who I am. Creating that relationship is one of my favorite parts of our experience together. I pride myself on capturing the precious moments that come and go in an instant.

MY STORY

    1. Where it all started

    My photography journey started unexpectedly back in high school. It all kicked off when my uncle, a seasoned photographer visiting from Germany in 2010, handed me his Konica Minolta Dimage camera. From that moment on, I was hooked. I remember the excitement of rushing home each day to upload my photos to Facebook albums and tag all my friends—those were the days!

    2. Spent lots of money on a piece of paper

    After high school, I pursued a double major in political science and law at Carleton University, and photography took a bit of a backseat with how busy life was. I got engaged and wedding planning started fueling my creative itch.

    3. Picking back up my camera

    Once post-University life settled down, I started snapping pictures for friends and family, reigniting my passion for photography. I started exploring how to deliver those images, where I could post them to promote demand, and toying with the idea of turning this into a business.

    Before I knew it, I was diving headfirst into the world of entrepreneurship—learning everything from website development to marketing strategies, and the rest is history.

My Nikon camera

One of my favorite things is the trusty companion that never fails to capture the magic – my Nikon camera. With every click, it's like a dance between art and technology, weaving together moments that will be cherished forever. From its sleek design to the crisp clarity it brings to each frame, my Nikon camera is more than just a tool – it's a partner in crafting unforgettable memories.

My Dog, Meet Thor!

Let me introduce you to the heart and soul of our team, Thor, the golden retriever extraordinaire. As a full-time member of the FSP family, he brings boundless joy and unwavering loyalty to every shoot. Despite his tendency to snooze through client meetings, he's forever our employee of the month, with a fluffy coat and a smile that melts hearts.

Disney

Disney holds a special place in my heart, especially the enchanting world of Disney World. There's nothing quite like the feeling of stepping onto Main Street in Magic Kingdom, brimming with anticipation for a day filled with adventure and wonder. And when it comes to Disney movies, my all-time favorite is 'Lilo and Stitch.' Its heartwarming story of friendship and adventure never fails to bring a smile to my face, reminding me of the magic that exists in every single moment.

Travelling

Fueling my passion for photography is my love for travel, and there's nothing quite like exploring new destinations and immersing myself in different cultures. Copenhagen in Denmark and Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia are just a few of my favorite places to wander. As I capture the beauty of each location, I can't help but dream of one day photographing a destination wedding, where love knows no borders and every moment is an adventure waiting to unfold.

Christmas

Ah, Christmas - the most magical time of the year! From cozy nights watching Hallmark movies to the joy of decorating the tree, I cherish every moment of the holiday season. As soon as it's socially acceptable, you'll find my tree twinkling with lights and adorned with ornaments, filling the room with warmth and cheer. There's something truly special about Christmas - a time for love, laughter, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
